The exclusively front-drive SUV drives through a CVT transmission and comes with Honda's 105kW/172Nm 1.8-litre aspirated four-cylinder engine. Only the VTi-S and top-spec VTi-L provide autonomous emergency braking, but all versions including the base VTi get a full, six-airbag five-star ANCAP rating. The HR-V is pretty handy inside too, with a 437-litre boot expanding out to 1462 litre, seats-folded. A handy turning circle, quick steering and good visibility make it good to drive around town too.
